Our house - the family-run Hotel Kaiseralm - is a private hotel in the heart of the Fichtelgebirge, on the edge of the forest and the village of Bischofsgrün. Nestled between the two highest peaks - the Ochsenkopf and the Schneeberg - you will find the right setting for a relaxing stay.

Look forward to 95 guest rooms in a wonderful south-facing location, with a panoramic view of Bischofsgrün and the Ochsenkopf. Your physical well-being is well catered for in our restaurant Frankenkrone with adjoining hotel terrace, in the Stüberl and in various function rooms.

A visit to our swimming pool area with sauna, infrared cabin and sun terrace promises pure relaxation.

The New Generation

hotel manager

Stephanie Schreiner returns to her parents' business and takes over the position of hotel manager. After her apprenticeship as a chef and her time in the kitchen, she completed further training to become a state-certified hotel manager for the hotel and restaurant industry in Pegnitz. With her previous knowledge and experience, she will work together with her parents on the future and further direction of the Hotel Kaiseralm and also actively participate in the daily business. As in the past, it is important to meet the expectations of our guests and to constantly adapt the offer accordingly. Stephanie Schreiner can rely on a great and experienced team and has the full support of her parents, who will continue to work in the business and support her in word and deed.

Wagner Festival in Bayreuth

Wagner Festival Theatre Bayreuth

Our Kaiseralm is also an ideal starting point for the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth. Enjoy the wonderful nature of the Fichtelgebirge next to the performances in the festival hall. We offer a transfer bus to the Festspielhaus for almost all performances. On days with transfer, we serve small and large delicacies from the Kaiseralm kitchen after the performance. Family-run private hotel

Since 1992, the Kaiseralm has been managed by the Schreiner family. They have owned the hotel since 2006, making it a family-run private hotel. Since 2022, Stephanie - the family's daughter - has also joined the family business as hotel manager.

Restaurant open daily

Our parlour and restaurant are open daily from midday. Depending on the weather and temperature, we are also happy to serve you on our hotel terrace.

Finish off the evening

After dinner, you can round off the evening in our ‘Bierstube’ or, weather permitting, on our hotel terrace.

Charging station for electric cars

There is a charging station with two connections for electric cars directly in our car park. Billing is by credit card.

View of Bischofsgrün and Ochsenkopf

Thanks to the south-facing orientation of our house, you can enjoy a marvellous view of Bischofsgrün and our local mountain, the Ochsenkopf, from every one of our rooms.

Swimming pool

In our indoor swimming pool (6x15m) you can swim a few relaxing laps in water temperatures of approx. 29-30°C. From our swimming pool area you have direct access to our swimming pool terrace with adjoining hotel garden.

Wellness & massages

Enjoy our Finnish sauna or relax in our infrared cabin. Would you like to be pampered with a massage? Then make an appointment with our Jonas Thiel.

Easily accessible from anywhere

In the heart of the Fichtelgebirge with excellent connections to the A9 and A93 motorways and via the B303, you can reach us in no time at all.

Bus stop right outside the door

Would you like to leave your car behind or are you travelling by public transport? The nearest bus stop, called ‘Höhenklinik’, is just 100 metres from our hotel entrance.

In addition to our annual transfer to the Bayreuth Festival, we also offer a transfer service on request.

Yes. Refreshments are available at the Frankenkrone restaurant, the hotel terrace, the beer bar and other function rooms. The restaurant and lounge are open daily from midday.

The wellness area includes an indoor swimming pool, a Finnish sauna, an infrared cabin and a sun terrace or pool terrace. Massages are also available by appointment.

Yes. The indoor pool measures 6 by 15 metres and has a water temperature of around 29 to 30 degrees Celsius. From the pool area, you can step directly out onto the pool terrace and into the hotel garden.

Yes. There are plenty of free parking spaces available right outside the hotel. If required, an underground parking space can also be booked for €10 per day.
